Yalo Helps Client, Metalogix, Shine at Microsoft Ignite Conference with Brand Refresh
Agency Stands Up New Website, Trade Show Booth and MetaFest Block Party
ATLANTA — October 5, 2016 — Yalo played a critical role for one of its clients at last week’s Microsoft Ignite conference. Metalogix used the conference as a venue to unveil its visual brand refresh, which included a new logo developed in-house. First, Yalo launched their new website Metalogix website that incorporated this new look in a responsive format, improving the user experience over the previous non-responsive site. Additionally, the new content management system on the back end will simplify the process of keeping content from product offerings to press releases fresh.
Yalo also designed the trade show booth that marked Metalogix’s presence on the conference floor. The 25 foot-high structure was designed to stand out and draw visitors from across the room. It incorporated new, brighter brand colors, as well as inspirational photography meant to add an emotional element to what is typically a fairly sterile environment. To up the organic factor even more, live plants were also a part of the booth decor. There were three stations where visitors could get a live product demonstration, as well as space inside to mingle and network.
And, because all work and no play makes IT professionals dull, Metalogix hosted a block party for 2,500 of is most important contacts at the conference. Yalo developed the party concept, graphics and brand for MetaFest, as well as handled all the production details from booking venues and entertainment to working with the City of Atlanta to ensure the street closures. The event was held on Marietta Street downtown, with STATS, Der Biergarten, Max’s and Twin Smokers BBQ serving drinks and food for guests. Last Comic Standing winner, Clayton English, emceed the evening from an outside stage, where Jared & the Mill, The Yawpers and Blackfoot Gypsies all performed raucous sets to amp up the crowd. STATS hosted an additional VIP party on its rooftop, where internationally-known DJ, Sam Feldt, had everyone jumping.
“This type of multi-pronged launch, where we’re helping our clients reach audiences both online and in person, is exactly the type of work Yalo excels at,” said Arnold Huffman, Yalo CEO. “This set of projects has allowed us to show our talent in several areas: concepting, design, event planning/production, and project management. With the party at the end, we also feel like we get to celebrate our and our client’s success a little bit, too.”
From the perspective of their client, Metalogix, Yalo’s involvement in all three projects provided continuity from a creative and quality perspective, and streamlined the process from an operations standpoint. Mike Lees, Metalogix CMO said “Yalo does a fantastic job going both deep and wide. They were able to understand and translate our brand in a couple very different ways that made sense for our audiences. Their extensive knowledge and expertise across multiple mediums was key — instead of hiring three different agencies, we kept it simple with confidence they’d cover all the bases.”
