Artist of the Week: John Carpenter

Forty years ago, filmmaker John Carpenter dreamt up the eerie, off-kilter title music for Halloween that became synonymous with masked slasher films. For the 11th film in the series (celebrating its 40th anniversary this year) Carpenter, along with his son and godson, crafted a soundtrack that turns some of the original score’s tracks on their heads and sets a modern, creepy backdrop for the film (and probably your Halloween party, too!). Learn moreand listen here.
