DoMyOwn offers an affordable, wide variety of pest control products to its do-it-yourself customer base. With a strong customer service offering and DIY videos that allow customers to use professional-grade products on their own safely, DoMyOwn wanted to reinvigorate their brand and reach a wider audience.
Yalo started with a content audit and branding strategy for the DoMyOwn brand – core components of our marketing communications services. We then created multiple concepts based on the key messaging while expanding the visuals within the branding. We carried this new identity across multi-channel communications including landing pages, direct mail and digital banners targeting their demographics.
Introducing a new DoMyOwn
We started building a visual identity based on the current logo by creating repeatable elements that referenced the petal shape. By using a range of these elements in various ways, we were able to breathe new life into the design while referencing the existing brand.
Custom tiling backgrounds based on the logo were created to add a subtle nod, while the petal shape became a primary branding anchor, used as both a design element and mask for selected imagery.
Sticking the landing
We created multiple wireframes and design options for a landing page re-introducing the DoMyOwn brand with a focus on our key messaging. This step allowed us to quickly put together layouts and experiences without investing a great deal of time on design.
Design and branding were then applied across the selected layout to bring the page to life. The page highlights key products, services and differentiators including subscription services and award-winning customer service. This design was implemented on tablet and mobile devices as well to ensure an optimal experience, regardless of how the site is accessed.
We rounded out our reimagining of the DoMyOwn brand with supporting communications across direct mail, social and digital advertisements. These pieces really show off the versatility of the branding and design elements we created and how they can be reused and reconfigured across all types of communications.
The client was thrilled with the work and the campaign has been launched successfully. DoMyOwn continues to nurture new leads and grow their existing customer base through their new landing page, direct mail and banner ads.
