Aloha 2017

What’s in a name? Last night, we asked attendees of the TAG 2017 Society Showcase Luau Party to take their best guess. With over 35,000 members, 2,000 + member companies, TAG is a leader in the technology industry, connecting people to thought leaders, executives of FORTUNE 500 companies, investors, government and civic leaders, service providers and entrepreneurs.  It was a fun way to get to know some of Atlanta’s tech community.

And we got some great answers to the question “What does Yalo mean?”

  • Lots of variations of hello, from southern Georgia accent to many different foreign languages
  • You always live once
  • Half yellow, half yahoo
  • Yahoo’s cousin
  • Ya’ll only live once
  • A very drunk hello
  • You always live outloud
  • Ya’ll o’great young
  • Living outloud
  • Connecting
  • Social entertainment
  • Tribe

Although none of these were exactly correct, many of them describe us to a tee. We do what we do with enthusiasm, vigor and discipline and work together as a Tribe to achieve optimal results.

The correct answer, of course, is “soul” in Fijian. It’s kind of the core of what we do, injecting soul into the brand experiences we create by drawing inspiration from music, sports and entertainment. This origin of conscience permeates not only our work but all of our awesome Tribe.

We had a blast last night engaging with our audience and sharing our Yalo. If you want to learn more about our work, our clients and our capabilities, check out digitalyalo.com.
